CareCar is a technology and health services company focused on non-emergency transportation management & coordination.
We work with managed care organizations across the US to improve health outcomes and reduce risk by managing supplemental transportation benefits for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial populations.
At CareCar, our mission is to be the most reliable and dignified component of the care continuum; and to add health value wherever and whenever possible.
Built on Care
We built our organization on the belief that every encounter with a patient should be treated with the same kind of care, consideration, and empathy one would have for their own loved ones.
This is our story..
It all started with a common complaint - "I can't get a reliable ride to my appointment." We were shocked of how often something so seemingly routine was the sole barrier to timely, appropriate care. Then, as we progressed in our professional careers, we began to notice the issue more and more at home - Our parents would wait for our calendar to clear to schedule their appointments.
As clinicians, technologists, and healthcare administrators, we realized that we were in a unique position to create significant positive change.
When we began thinking about CareCar, we started with a question – If we were start over today, how would we do it? How do we build a system we can trust that can positively affect human health and improve health value overall?
We knew we had to be more than a logistics company and better than a broker. After all, it's about health and independence; and while logistics is difficult, delivering true care would be the real challenge. So, we focused on real family and patient experiences, everyday provider motivations, and other opportunities that could possibly add value to our health system. Then we began to build, CareCar - a truly integrated health and transportation organization.
We have taken more mindful and human approach in every aspect of the experience, technology, and process design in order to uplift all individuals in our ecosystem towards better health and independence. Our efficiencies have led to better supplemental benefit design for health plans and their members, significantly fewer complaints & grievances, and our care coordination support has led to fewer hospitalizations and escalations in care.
